Hey! I am me! And I thank God that I am not you! Stop trying to make me you! I am me o o oh! I may be your child, but I am not your clone! I am also not my brother or sister! I celebrate their grace & glory! Sometimes, I even envy their strengths & achievements, but I am me & they are them! I can’t be them! I shouldn’t be them! I also wouldn’t try anymore to be them! I am me!  

Being good at being me is what will fulfill me! It is what will give me a voice in my world! It is what will make God excited that he didn’t waste his investment in me! Being me is the only thing I can be better than anyone on earth at! No one can beat me at being me! I am created to be me! I am equipped to be me! I am commanded to be me! My blessing is on me being me! I just must be me to be my best! 
But then, I understand your concern! There is this “mold”! It looks beautiful! Experts have graduated it! It is one size fits all! Everyone seems excited to fit into it! And you love me so much, you can’t afford to have me miss out on it! And…. It does really look odd when I don’t join the group! 
Hmmm! I understand! I sometimes want to do it like the rest of us…. except for these words; 
“Don’t become so well–adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well–formed maturity in you.’ – Rom 12:2 (MSG)
Yes…. that’s it! I refuse to adjust to the culture of the world! I think! I fix my attention on God! I am daily recognizing what he wants from me! I am living his counter culture life! I am doing whatever it takes to manifest the Christ-life he planted in me to my world in my own unique way! I am serving daily for his well done and not the applause of men! And I guess, in the midst of it all – I am actually having fun living my life for his glory! 

How do you join this “I am me” army? 
-a- connect to your creator through Jesus Christ!  
-b- continually search out & pursue his purpose for your life! 
-c- construct inner fortifications against destiny bullies by the word of God! 
-d- come into every issue of life thinking of yourself as the best & giving it your best! 

This 2020, you will take the high places of life! You will overtake many that were ahead of you! You will lead in everything you’re assigned! Life will make room for you to shine forth! You will never know defeat or shame in Jesus Christ name!
